The Dark Knight Becomes Fourth Film Breaking the Billion Score

This may be a good news for the best movie of 2008 in my view; The Dark Knight, having become the fourth film taking in more than $1 billion in worldwide.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced on Friday afternoon that The Dark Knight took the total gross; combined domestic and international gross, had $1,001,082,160 to date which is a domestic gross about $533 million and $567 million overseas.

From above, The Dark Knight will be the fourth film taking more than $1 billion in worldwide. The previous film taking in more than $1 billion are the following:

• Titanic ($1.842 billion)
• The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ($1.119 billion)
• Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest ($1.066 billion)
  

Moreover, The Dark Knight also is the second-highest domestic grosser of all time trailing Titanic which is the first-highest domestic grosser.
